hi everybody! I'm very lucky of have born in Gran Canaria because we've got good weather almost the whole year ,nice beaches ,great mountain landscapes and above all, good food.Also I love the way that we speak,we've got a particular accent. Gran canaria is synonym of tourism. To my mind this is an advantage because is a source of get money and help in the develop of the island. So you should visit the island because it offer you a wide range of opportunities such as do sports in the sea, get a tan, guided tours , listen to our folklore music, try typical canary food and so on. Melilla is in north of Africa, Its a small city next to morocco. Melilla is a small city which hide many history behind 12km as this wonderful land were conquered by spanish in 1497. Melilla is, after Barcelona, a city of modernism buildings.Its has the better thing of andalusian people, their custom and of course the famous "tapas".
YOU SHOULD GO TO MELILLA because you can see Spain and also Morocco it is just a 5 minutes by car.

Hi guys! I was born in Gran Canaria and I am very proud of my place of birth. Although, it is an island and if you want to travel, you have to go to the mainland so we are a little bit limited, Gran Canaria has different aspects which makes it a lovely place to visit and live. The sun is shining almost the whole year and you can go to the sandy beaches whenever you want. However, not only we have beaches but also green spaces where you can enjoy seeing beautiful landscapes. About food? oh food! It is absolutely delicious above all our salt potatoes in their jackets :)

My place of birth is Gran Canaria, concretelly a small town in the north of the island. This island and the majority of the Canary Islands have the perfect weather: sun in the south and a little bit chilly in some northest towns. For that reason, everybody wants to travel to Canary Island, because the weather is amazing. Also, the food is completely healthy and it agree with everybody, even when they are not used to eat mediterranean food. What more can I say about this island? Is just the perfect place for living tanned and healthy.

I was born in Gran Canaria and I am proud of living here. Gran Cananria is an island which is in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. I think it has many aspects that makes it lovely: one of these aspects is the sun, that is almost the whole year shinnig. It has a lot of beaches and not only it, i has green and mountainous landscapes like " El Roque Nublo". Food here is fantastic, specially our traditional food, you cannot come back to your homeland without taste this kind of food.

I was born in Gran Canaria, an island that forms part of other six islands known as Canary Islands...We are considered to be Spanish because we are near the Spanish mainland but if you can have a look at a map you will notice that we are nearer Africa than Spain...so make your own conclutions...hehehe
One of the exciting things of the island is the microclimate you can find here. You can have beach time as well as mountain time at the same time. You may have a sunny day in one part of the island and a rainy day, in other part. It´s amazing...Undoubtedly, the beaches you can find here you´re bound to love them. For instance, Maspalomas is beach that makes you fell as if you were in the desert because of the great deal of dunes. I could keep on describing you the wonderful landscapes of the island but I´m not allowed to do that as we have a limited number of words to write...

Hi!! I was born in Lanzarote which is the nearest island of Africa. My family live in there except me because in my small island there aren't universities. So, the students have to move to another city.
The land is drier than in Gran Canaria, for this reason the island is considered like lunar landscape. The most important place in this island could be Las Montañas del Fuego (Fire's Mountains) where there are active volcanoes and you also can ride a camel.
Thanks to Cesar Manrique, an architect of the island who died many years ago, this place has many important places for visiting, such as his own house which is his foundation now that was built in volcanic bubbles. Perhaps, he is famous because he defended the rights of all islands (against illegal contructions) and he tried to make the most of space.
Nowadays, the island of Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands most visited.
Nací en Berna, la capital de Suiza. No es una ciudad muy estética pero cada persona que la visita dice que es bella. No sé si sea verdad porque cuando vives en un lugar, lo ves con ojos diferentes. A mí, me gusta que no es tan grande. Solamente hay 130’000 habitantes y se puede pasearla en aproximadamente una hora. Es muy vieja, fue fundada en el siglo 12 y todavía existen los edificios originales de este siglo. Si lo visitas, me podrás decir si es bella o no. =)

I was born In Gran Canaria. An Island where the sun rises up every morning XDDD. Gran Canaria is a good place if you want to be peaceful. If you are fed up of bad weather, if you are looking for a place where there are no many people or you adore bananas, (The typical fruit in Canary Island)aahahahaha you can come to Canary Islands! =) Of course, you don't need to bring an umbrella because in this place the rain never appears XDD.
You should visit this Island because you can learn of the "Guanches culture" , you can visit a lot of museums. For instance: The Elder museum, and you can have good nights in pubs or discos and have fun in the wonderful beaches that we have.
In short, Canary Islands (7 islands)in general are marbellous places where we can rest in peace because there's not many people and many tourists visit Gran Canaria because of the weather and the peace that they breath.

I was born in Gran Canaria, one of the 7 islands of the archipielago. The islands are placed next to the Sahara coast, but they are under Spanish Government.
As you said, Dominique, one sees with different eyes our place of birth.
This island is known as the Small Continent, because of its varied landscapes and vegetation. It has a very smooth climate the whole year around and that is why our first income is the Tourism. This island is over populated and as long as I have studied, there is nothing to do with the ancient Gran Canaria which was full of vegetation and pine woods.
Going around the island you can see sand beaches, greeny areas in the center of the island and lovely places where to eat traditional food.
The buildings are not so old here, like in Berna, but the island has got its charming.
Hi guys, I'm Álison and I have born in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Lisbon is a big city as capitals should be, you have the Tejo River there that divides Lisbon from Setúbal area (that is actually the place where I live). You have many monuments theres, such as Christ King, Belém Tower, Geronimous Monastery, etc. etc. etc.. The city itself is full of magic and mysticism, with old building full of memories, and new ones starting to build a storie. Alot of statues wich represent Portuguese importante characters from the glorious past, not just from the discoverings but also from literature such as poesy, etc. Is important to remember that Lisbon was the place from where the ships who discovered the world departed (all the coast of Africa, the way to India, America, etc.). In a certain moment Portugal and Spain were the masters of the world dividing it for it selfs.
There is too many thinks to tell you about Lisbon that I don't know from where to start, maybe the best think to do was you went there and see by your own! We have a tropical weather, great beachs, great sun, wonderfull forests, mountains and green places, etc. If you love green and mystic places with many mits and legends around I will advice you to go to Sintra (in Lisbon) because that place is just wonderfull and full of magic.
I hope you see you around Lisbon streets one day! hehe

Aunque vivo a Brisbane, yo nací a Sydney (Sídney), Australia. Sídney es la ciudad más grande de Australia. También es la ciudad más antigua del país. Esta ciudad tiene muchas cosas bonitas, como la Ópera de Sídney y el Puente del Puerto. No pasé mucho tiempo en Sídney pero sé que es un lugar muy multicultural y concurrido.
Sídney tiene un clima moderado, menos cálido que Brisbane y el norte de Australia. En verano hay días con una temperatura de más de 30 grados.
Las playas de Sídney son muy famosas, especialmente Bondi y Manly. En verano hay mucha gente en las playas porque hace buen tiempo, mucho sol y podemos nadar.
Debido a la cultura multicultural, hay muchos lugares donde podemos comer comida diferente. En Chinatown (el Barrio Chino), por ejemplo, hay comida deliciosa de China.
Sídney es también el centro de la cultura en el país, con muchos museos, teatros, cines y también el famoso Instituto Nacional de Arte Dramático. Hay una vida nocturna muy activa, con muchas salas de fiestas, barras y clubs nocturnos.
Mucha gente piense que Sídney es la capital de Australia, a causa de su tamaño y su popularidad, pero ¡no es verdad!

Aunque vivo en Australia ahora, yo nací en Birmingham en Inglaterra. Me mudé hace un año, así todavía considero Birmingham como mi casa.
Birmingham es conocida como ‘La Segunda Ciudad’ de Inglaterra, pero en realidad no es muy grande. Pero hay muchas atracciones y cosas que hacer en las afueras de la ciudad y está área es conocido como ‘the Midlands’. Es un lugar muy histórico, por ejemplo hay el pueblo de Stratford donde el autor, Shakespeare nació. ¡Y también, este lugar es muy popular con las turistas españolas! Y por supuesto, hay la fábrica de chocolate muy famosa, que se llamaba ‘Cadbury’ en el distrito histórico de Bournville.
La clima, ¡como Inglaterra en general no es buena! Hace mucha lluvia con una temperatura fresca para el mayor de año, y en invierno especialmente hace mucho frío. Sin embargo, hay mucho que hacer sin el tiempo fantástica. En la ciudad central de Birmingham, hay muchas restaurantes, bares y clubes. Birmingham es famosa para su comida indiana, y sobre todo la plata que se llama ‘Balti’ cuyo creó en Birmingham.
Si quieras los lugares con variedad e historia, te recomiendo que visites the Midlands.

However, despite I'm very proud of being born in Gran Canaria I should say that the worst part of Gran canaria is that we don't have all the degrees we could study, but it can be solve by traveling abroad :p

I feel very lucky for having been bornt in Gran Canaria because it is a very nice and warm place. I love hte weather, the landscapes, the sea and animal and acuatic fauna of this island. I also love the closeness we have with the other Canarian Islans which makes it easier to go there, because although we are very similar they are different in many things too. They have different words, habits, traditional parties, etc. What I really love is the fact that Canarian culture is a mix of Spanish people and South American.I think we have one of the best cultures in the world!
Hi everyone !!!!! I was born in Gran Canaria. I live in a little village near the main city,Las Palmas. Gran Canaria is a place where you can have a paceful, relaxing time if you visit the island, and of course you can find many beaches in which you can sunbathe. One of my favourite places of Gran Canria is a beach located in the city, Las Palmas, which is named Las Canteras, you can enjoy there with a paceful, great walk and you can also sunbathe there. :)

Wow! I'm supposed to describe how Gran Canaria is, but my classmates are doing it so well that I don't even know what to say...
The Canary Islands are known as the "European Caribbean" because of the weather and the amazing beaches, but for me they are more than that. Every island has something that makes it different from the rest.
For me, the only disadvantage that Gran Canaria and the rest of islands have is the fact that we are in the middle of the ocean, far away from the mainland, and if we want to travel we have to do it by plane, I mean, we don't have the chance to get on a train and travel all around Europe or things like that.

La costa oeste de Canadá es muy bella. Hay montes, bahías y tanto paisaje mágico. Hay mucho para hacer en la ciudad y puede tomar un pequeño viaje para ir a los montes.
Mi familia y yo hemos visitado a Canadá en el verano con el paso de los años. Me gusta acampar en los parques, dormir debajo de las estrellas y nadar en los lagos. ¡Qué relajado!

Brisbane es una cuidad muy tranquila, calida y con diversos árboles y parques.
Está cerca de la costa y durante el año, hay muchas tormentas electricas, produciendose grandes precipitaciones.
Si te encuentras en Brisbane, debes visitar las hermosas playas de Caloundra, a solo 100 kms al norte.
Si quieres tener una experiencia inolvidable, entonces no te pierdas muy tempano por la mañana, la maravillosa experiencia de caminar en la playa viendo como el magestuoso sol, se asoma desde el mar.

Nací en Brisbane y vivía aquí toda mi viva. Brisbane es en la costa este de Australia. Normalmente el clima es perfecto, con temperaturas que van de 10 a 40 grados centígrados. No he visto la nieva porque es demasiado calor aquí. Pero este año planifico ir a la Nueva Zealand en Julio esquiar.
Brisbane no es la ciudad más popular de Australia, aún hay muchos lugares de interés aquí. En la ciudad hay muchos restaurantes, cafés, y discotecas, dependiendo como le gusta pasar su tiempo. Porque las playas mas cerca al Brisbane son las de la Costa de Oro, Brisbane tiene una playa artificial en el centro de la ciudad.

Yo nací en Sídney, la ciudad más grande y más conocida de Australia. Es un lugar multicultural, animado y fascinante, y les recomiendo que lo visiten.
Hay muchas cosas diversas a hacer en esta ciudad; es decir, es un verdadero paraíso para los turistas. Primero, hay los grandes lugares de interés como la famosa Opera de Sídney y el Puente del puerto, que tal vez ya conocen. Además, es necesario visitar el Barrio Chino, que es el centro cultural para la comunidad china en Sídney, y también los mercados de Paddington, que tienen lugar los sábados.
Les aconsejo a los turistas que vayan a la playa de Bondi, que es muy hermosa, y la temperatura del agua en verano está perfecta para nadar. Quizás les interesa también visitar el Acuario de Sídney, que está en el barrio que se llama Darling Harbour.
Finalmente, como yo soy amante de la comida, les recomiendo que prueben la comida variada de esta ciudad. En Sídney, hay comida de todos partes del mundo, y estoy segura que encontrarán alguna cosa que les gustará.

Hola! Como estan?
Naci en Paris. A mi me gusta mucho a esta ciudad. Es un lugar magico y muy hermoso. Puedes encontrar a todo que quieres ahi. Es multicultural, y todos los barrios son diferentes. Aparte de la Torre Eiffel, la architectura de la ciudad es muy interesante. Tiene los imponente inmuebles blancos de Haussmann, las avenias enormes como los Champs Elysees para ir de tiendas o las pequenas calles muy activas con los mercados, los restaurantes donde encontras la mejora comida del mundo, y los cafes con terrazza donde puedes tomar una copa de vino rojo con tus amigos.
Uno de mis sitios preferido es el barrio de Montmarte, donde ahy vistas magnificas sobre toda la ciudad, y donde muchos artistos viven.
Si te gusta ir al museo, tienes que ir a Paris, la ciudad de la cultura! Todo el tiempo hay una exposicion interesante.
Y cuando viene la noche, Paris tambien es un lugar donde puede festejar mucho.
Nunca te aburres en Paris.

Yo nací en la ciudad de Perth, Australia Occidental. Es la ciudad más aislada del mundo en cuanto a su ubicación a las otras capitales regionales del país. Es una ciudad muy bella, bien organizada y con una alta calidad de vida para los que viven allí. Asimismo no siento mucha conexión con Perth porque en realidad me criaron en otro pueblo y entonces nunca viví en Perth mismo.
Mi pueblo York es muy tranquilo y como mi papá es esquilador siempre fui rodeado de animales y de naturaleza. Tuve una infancia muy especial y creo que es gracias al ambiente de mi lindo pueblito, York.
Todo esto lo digo con cuidado porque cuando viví en Argentina mis compañeros argentinos siempre me decían: “Jayson: nacido en Australia, hecho en Argentina”. Y como son argentinos hay que darles caso porque no creen nada de lo contrario de lo que dicen. Jaja.
En fin, me parece que todos deben visitar York si alguna vez tengan la posibilidad de visitar Australia (es mejor en invierno). Es un lugar lleno de naturaleza y gente muy cálida. En diferentes momentos del año uno puede disfrutar de los festivales de Jazz y de aceitunas, y siempre de la hospitalidad de mis papás ya que les mando gente de todo el mundo! :-P

I was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It is a beautiful place. People live very happy here. It is an island where you can relax and also have fun. We have not only big and nice beachs, but also mountains and very beautiful green places, I mean mountains and places for camping and doing barbecues where it is a little cold. Our winters are not very cold, and our summers are not too much hot. There are many fantastic places that you can visit if you come.Beachs as Las Canteras, Playa del Inglés, Amadores, Meloneras...
You can also visit Roque Nublo or many places when people have found important remains.
But my favourite hobby here is to look at stars in the sky when the nights are dark. You can open your mind and think about many things, but also not to think about anything, only listen to the sound of the sea.

Hi! Now, we have to talk about our place of birth... I should say that I am very proud of being canarian. My parents belong to that little island too and I have never thought about going out in order to live because I like it a lot.
Gran Canaria is known as the “The little continent” because you can find here an important differences between landscapes and environments. I mean, on the south of that land there are beaches and beautiful views in which the sea and the sand are the main characters, while on the north of the island you can find a huge variety of trees and plants in general.
The weather is also completely different because sometimes it is raining in the north and people are lying on the sand in the other side of the land.
I invite you all to meet it because it is wonderful; at least it seems to me that it is!

Yo nací en Versalles; Es una ciudad muy conocida en Francia. Se sitúa un poquito al sur de Paris y se puede acceder por tren muy fácilmente. Mis padres no se quedaron allí mucho tiempo después de mi nacimiento; de pronto empezaron a viajar por el mundo. Versalles es una ciudad guapísima con aspectos culturales e históricos. En los siglos antes de la revolución francesa, Versalles era la residencia de los reyes; se quedaban ellos en el castillo de Versalles. Todavía está el castillo y no se puede imaginar el placer y sobrecogimiento que se siente cuando se visita el castillo. Además del interior suntuoso del castillo, se puede visitar y admirar a los jardines llenos de flores, los setos tallados y las fuentes imponentes. No se puede describir este lugar, hay que verlo de verdad. Por eso necesitáis visitar a mi lugar de nacimiento, no os arrepentirán.

Nací y vivo en Brisbane, una ciudad al oeste de Australia. La clima en Brisbane es tropical – normalmente hay sol todos los dias y aunque en invierno la temperatura no es muy frío. Tengo suerte de vivir en Brisbane porque está un buen ubicación para ir de playas o para ir del campo. Al norte hay ‘Sunshine Coast’ y al sur hay ‘Gold Coast’ – los dos son lugares populares para toda la gente que visite porque tienen playas para nadar y surfar.

I live in Las Palmas, the capital of Gran Canaria,and I was born here. I thought that Las Palmas ins't a very big city or capital but when you visit the rest of islands you can see how different are the other capitals. Las Palmas is a cosmopolitan city, there are a lot of South American, Muslim and African immigrants.
The best of Las Palmas is the good whether, usually sunny. We've got beaches in each spot. I thought that Gran Canaria was a very small and boring city but when you travel around the world and visit other cities, you undertand that you live in the paradise!

Hi! I was born in Las Palmas, the capital of Gran Canaria, like most of the students of my class. This island is everything for me: my family, my friends, my childhood... I love traveling, and I think every single place of the world must belong to everybody, but I'm sure that I couldn't live in another place apart from Gran Canaria. The charm of the island lie in the beaches, the pine forest, the old quarter of the city, the gastronomy, the constant good weather and many other things. Some tourists take a vacation in the island and they are so amazed that they stay here instead of coming back to their countries. The landscape, the culture and the people form a great place to live or somewhere to disconnect from the stressful way of life. The best way of proving what I'm saying is visiting us! ;)

Yo nací en Brisbane, el capital de Queensland que es un estado grande de Australia (todavía yo vivo aquí con mi familia). Brisbane es una ciudad de tamaño mediana con un rió pasando por el centro, donde hay muchos rascacielos y unos parques.
¡Si viajaras a Australia, por supuesto te recomendaría que vengas a Brisbane! Aquí la mayoría de la gente es tranquila y relajada. También es muy fácil llegar a playas bonitas al norte y sur. En mi opinión no hace mucho frío durante invierno, de hecho, estamos afortunados porque en general hace bien tiempo.

I mean that the beaches haven't sand but they are fabulous.Wherever you go, you can taste the traditional meals and the most important,fresh fish.Althoug we have a mediterranean gastronomy.People from my island are very heplful and friendly.I would like to visit Australia, however I recommend you my island.

Nací en una ciudad al noreste de Australia que se llama Townsville. No me acuerdo casí nada de mi lugar de nacimiento porque mi familia se mudó a Brisbane cuando tenía tres anos. Fui a visitar Townsville con mi familia hace diez anos. No es tan grande como Brisbane, pero es bonita porque es una ciudad costera y tiene muchos parques. En Townsville, siempre hace calor y la gente es muy amable. Townsville está cerca de muchas playas bonitas y islas de la Gran Barrera de Coral. También está rodeada de selvas tropicales. La belleza de sus alrededores es impresionante. Os recomiendo que visitéis el noreste de Australia.

Hi guys! Hello from the Canary Islands springtime! This year, our land is especially colourful because the abundant rainfall in winter. The Islands are commonly named " A Miniature Continent" and the reason is that we have many different types of bioclimatic areas. From high mountain to arid zone, volcanic formations, evergreen woods, long beaches...
Our cultural heritage is also very rich and our history is the result of a three continents meeting: Africa, Europe and America. Therefore, we are living in a multicultural society and the people is very hospitable. You can find any kind of activities you like in the countryside as well as in the coastal areas or in the cities, night and day...
But the main reason by which you should visit us is that...We are here! I'm working as a guide-interpreter and I'm trying, also with my classmates, to be a good host for the visitors who come from other...continents! (By the way, as you are our "Antipodean neighbours" I wonder who of us are walking upside down!).
Well, I'd love you to come with us to know the Canary Islands sharing some feeligs about our respective land, people and culture (it doesn't matter the way you walk, we really are open people!).

I suppose that after reading my classmates' opinions, you should know that we have a wonderful weather, although,this year, it's been very changeable,as well as many different places for your entertainment. You can go to the beach during hardly the whole year,or make a barbecue in the north of the island for instance.
I live in Telde (in Gran Canaria of course)and I like to live here because it is not very stressful or quiet. So, even though, Australia must be a very beautiful place, I recommend you to come here and check that Gran Canaria is the best place where a person can live.

Yo nací en Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia. Queda muy cerca de Brisbane y es un lugar bonito. Pero nunca he vivido allí, porque fui criado en un pueblo que se llama Rosewood. Queda como una hora al oeste de Brisbane, y es un pueblo muy chico. Aunque no viva allí ahora, voy para allá de vez en cuando. Ahora, tiene una población de unas tres mil personas. Cuando era niño solía conocer casi todos los del pueblo. Ahora, porque ya ha crecido, y sigue creciendo ya que mucha gente se está mudando al sureste de Queensland, ahora ya ni conozco ni a la mitad de personas que viven en la misma calle donde yo vivía. Es un pueblo típico de Australia. En la calle principal es donde se encuentra el supermercado, la farmacia, las tiendas, los bancos, entre otros. Hay tres bares, dos escuelas primarias, una secundaria, una alberca publica, una estación de tren, varias iglesias, salones culturales y un club de “rugby league”. En mi pueblo vive mucha gente de edad. Muchos de los habitantes que ya han fallecido pelearon en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Por ejemplo, recuerdo con mucho cariño a mi vecino, “Herbie”, un señor de muchos talentos, quien falleció cuando yo tenía doce años. El entrenaba galgos, los perros de carreras; tenía más de treinta gallinas y fue soldado en el ejército australiano en la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Allí fue herido y una de sus piernas queda paralizada. Cuando teníamos fiestas en mi casa, Herb Kendrick siempre fue el primero en ser invitado y tenía su lugar en la mesa de mi mamá.
¿Por qué deberían visitar el pueblo de Rosewood? Pues, mi respuesta es sencilla- es tranquilo, normal, y es un ejemplo de algo que casi no cambia mucho. En los pueblos de Australia y en este caso, Rosewood, encontramos lo que es el espíritu australiano, lo que es Australia realmente. Muchas veces visitamos los lugares más populares del mundo porque el mundo nos dice que aquel lugar es lo mejor o nuestros amigos y conocidos lo hayan visitado y queremos seguir sus pasos. Rosewood no es muy popular ni extraordinario. Es un lugar muy, pero muy normal. Pero es un lugar especial. Allí existe el espíritu de Australia. Allí viven héroes como Herbie, gente normal, gente tranquila, australianos verdaderos. Me da orgullo decir: “¡Soy de Rosewood!”.

I was born in Gran Canaria 19 years ago and during this years I have learn that I live in a paradise, why? Because this island has all (or almost all) that you wish. In the first place we have incredible beaches around the entire island and this is very attractive to tourism, secondly we have beautiful countryside landscapes in the highest part of the island where you can enjoy doing a camping day! Moreover we have sunny weather the most part of the year and I think that this is an important reason why people here are very happy and nice. But if you want to confirm all my reasons, the best form is coming here!

Nací en Brisbane, Australia, y no he movido cualquier lugar muy lejos de Brisbane. Me gusta Brisbane, porque aquí casi siempre hace sol y caliente, hay playas al norte y al sur de Brisbane, y la ciudad me ofrece todas las tiendas y los servicios que necesitaría. Donde vivo en este momento, estoy entre la ciudad de Brisbane, y el Gold Coast, y eso es prácticamente una ciudad en la playa. Deben visitar aquí porque hay cosas ver, cosas hacer, y el tiempo casi siempre hace buen. ¡Las playas tienen que ver!

Mi lugar de nacimiento... hmmm.. yo nací en Dysart, un pueblito de minas que está situado en Queensland central. No puedo recordar mucho de este lugar porque solamente viví allí por 4 años mientras mi papá estaba trabajando en las minas.
Como no sé mucho de Dysart, preferería hablar sobre Mackay, el lugar donde me crecí.

Bueno, es una ciudad bastante pequeña en comparación con otras lugares en Australia como Brisbane o Sydney. Pero está creciendo muy rápido porque se ha vuelto la regíon más grande para producir la caña de azúcar en Queensland. Además, Mackay es la pasarela a una de las minas de carbón más grandes en todo Australia. También, tiene muchas playas y está muy cerca a la Gran Barrera de Coral y a unas selvas tropicales muy conocidas.
Desde mi propia perspectiva, creo que Mackay es un buen lugar en que tenga una familia porque no es demasiado grande ni pequeño. Como una niña del campo, podía desarrollar una apreciación para los lugares más pequeños y aunque vivo en Brisbane ahora, una cuidad más grande que Mackay, ya disfruto de volver a casa para visitar a mi familia y unos amigos que ya están allí.
Y entonces, si te gustaría:
*ver caña ( y mucha caña de hecho) , o
*pasar un día en la playa o en el mar, o
*ir de paseo en una selva trópica
(o si estás pensando tener una familia jaja)

Nací en un hospital por supuesto pero puedes encontrarlo en Nambour. Nambour es cerca de la playa en “Sunshine Coast”. Necesitaras de visitar el “Sunshine Coast” si viajarías al Brisbane en vez del “Gold Coast” (la más famosa) porque no hay las playas llenas con turistas (menos Mooloolaba) y en mi opinión el mar esté más caliente. Todavía cuando voy a la playa siempre con mi familia iremos allí, al norte del Brisbane.

Yo nací en un pueblo pequeño se llama Atherton en el norte de Queensland. Es un lugar muy especial. Donde yo vivía, en un pueblito se llama Malanda, la medio ambiente es tropical. Hay selvas tropicales, ríos y cascadas hermosas. El clima es calor y húmedo. Llueve con mucho frecuencia, y la tierra es verde y rica. Hay muchos animales australianos, pero no son peligrosos. Debes visitar el norte de Queensland! Todo el mundo que ha visitado no olvida jamás. Además, puede manejar a Cairns y la Gran Barrera de Coral en dos horas! La verdad es que nunca he visto el arrecife, pero… ¡te recomiendo que vayas!
Nací en un Barrio de Melbourne llamado Carlton. El problema es que no he ido a este lugar por mucho tiempo, y no me puedo recordar como es. Lo que sé es lo que me han dicho los padres. Estoy seguro que es muy viejo, pero también está de moda. muchas artistas viven allí, y sus cafés famosos siempre están llenos. Pero en general, Melbourne es una ciudad fantástica. Se debería visitarlo por sus compras y su deporte. Mis amigas me dicen que Melbourne es el mejor lugar para comprar una prenda de ropa en Australia.
La ciudad también es el hogar de deporte en el país. Se puede ver juegos de fútbol normal, fútbol Australiano, cricket, y a veces el rugby. Si vienes durante la próxima navidad, podrías ver la competición de "las cenizas"; un partido de cricket entre Australia e inglaterra, que hemos jugado por más que cien años. Es un parte integrante de nuestra cultura, ¡en pesar de que puede ser un poco aburrido a veces!
Cerca de Melbourne hay las montañas de Dandenong, un lugar muy hermosa lleno de la belleza natural, parece que el bosque es interminable.

I was born in Lanzarote, one of the islands that form part of the Canary Islands. I have not lived there all year around for two years now, because I started university and in Lanzarote there is no university. So, when I have class I live in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria but when I am on holiday I live in Lanzarote.
Lanzarote is a very peaceful island to live on , it has wonderful beaches and many different places you can visit, for example: Las montañas del fuego, Jameos del agua, La cueva de los verdes...

My place of birth
I was born in Finland where the wintertime lasts six months and on winter days there are only few hours of sunlight. Geographically my place of birth is located in the Eastern part of Finland wherefore in the winter the wind from Russia makes the air colder and the temperature can be even 30 degrees below zero. My small village is called Koskenkylä which means the village of rapid. You can find the nearest supermarket and chemist in 20 kilometres and the nearest town in 40 kilometres so you could say that the everyday services are not exactly nearby. Perhaps that’s why there are only 200 inhabitants in my village and most of them are middle-aged bachelors with a big farm and a possessive mother. The rest of the population consist of curious old grandmas and some married farmer couples where normally the husband is cheating his wife as much as he can with divorced adventurous women who fed up with the busy lifestyle of cities and therefore moved to the countryside. Finland is known for the four seasons and you can see them clearly also in my village: in the winter you’ll freeze, in the spring you’ll be suffocated by the stink of dung, in the summer you’ll be stuck by mosquitoes and finally in the autumn you’ll get depressed because of the lack of the sunlight and constant rain.
So, after hearing all these facts about my place of birth why should you visit it? I think you have to meet these people who can stand that kind of living conditions. When you are completely at the mercy of weather you learn to respect the nature and adapt yourself to the different conditions. When it’s -30 degrees you can see the Northern Lights changing its colour from red to green in the dark sky. You can build a snow castle and watch the stars in the light of a snow lantern. Finally after so many months of darkness the sun rises and you can go walking on the snow when the frost has frozen the snow after a spring thaw. When the rivers start to melt, you can also see yellow cowslips and blue common hepaticas blossoming. Then in the summer you can go to pick berries in the forest and after the trip go to sauna and swim in the lake or river. It’s an amazing feeling when the weather is calm and you are rowing the boat in the midnight on sunlight because in the summer the sun doesn’t set. In the autumn you can go hiking on a fresh air and enjoy seeing all the beautiful colours of the leaves.
I bet you’ll appreciate your own home conditions after your visit to my village but perhaps, to your surprise, you will also miss the changing nature. You could get some interesting new experiences and see the world from the different perspective
Hi everybody! I was born in Gran Canaria, an island of the Canary Islands which is located in the Atlantic Ocean, and I feel satisfied to live on this island.
I think Gran Canaria is a place that people should visit because it has several positive points that make it really attractive. So it offers different possibilities to spend a nice day such as; wonderful beaches like Maspalomas, a green mountainous landscape, lots of shopping centers, museums...
But overcoat you can enjoy a traditional food and a sun that shines almost all year!

Hi! I was born in Gran Canaria, one of the seven Canary Islands. It is said that the island is a continent in miniature as it has forests and mountain landscapes and also incredibly beautiful coastlines and spectacular beaches. However the greatest attraction of Gran Canaria is the climate, which makes it an ideal holiday destination.
I have been living here all my life and, although I want to travel and stay living in many other places to know other cultures, places, languages and people, I’m sure that I will come back again and again because I will not find any other place better than my beautiful and lovely island, definitely my home :)
Hello! I was born in Gran Canaria, the best Island out of the Canary Islands. It's capital is Las Palmas. I think Gran Canaria is a great place to go on holidays or to live in when you retire. I don't like living here very much because now that I have lived in london for 4 years this Island can feel very small and very limited. Yo nací en Toowoomba; es una ciudad 132 kilómetros de Brisbane en el sudeste de Queensland. Me mudé a Brisbane cuando estaba muy joven entonces no vivía en Toowoomba por mucho tiempo. Sin embargo, tengo muchos primos que viven allá todavía, y les visito poco veces por año.
Toowoomba se llaman ‘El Ciudad de Jardín’ porque cada año lo es la sede de ‘El Australiano Carnaval de las Flores’. La ciudad también tiene muchos emplazamientos de patrimonio nacional. En contraste con casi todas otras partes de Australia, Toowoomba tiene las cuatro estaciones. Por ejemplo, en otoño los árboles de hoja caduca exponen los colores de amarillo, rojo y naranja. Eso es muy excepcional en Australia y para mi, eso es muy especial.
Me gusta Toowoomba porque lo es mi lugar de nacimiento. Pues, les sugeriría visitar otras partes de Australia primeramente y tal vez después van a apreciar la belleza sencillo de Toowoomba. ☺

¡Hola! Nací en Hong Kong. Es también se llaman como ´Perla de Oriente´, ´Paraíso de las compras´y ´paraíso gastronómico´. Hay dos parques temáticos, son llaman ´Disney´ y ´Ocean Park´. Me gustan los dos mucho. Para vosotros que os gustan comer y ir de compras, debéis viajar a Hong Kong. Vosotros podéis disfrutar de las comidas de los paíes diferentes sin tener que pagar mucho. Además, hay muchos centros comerciales donde son lugares buenos para ir de compras. Podéis ir de compras o quedarse en los cafés cuando quieran porque las tiendas abren temprano y cierran tarde.

¡Hola! Mi lugar de nacimiento es Grafton, en Australia. Lo es un ciudad un poco pequeño, aunque está crezcendo todos los años.
Me gusta este lugar por muchas razónes, pero en realidad, hay problemas con sociedad. Generalmente, no obstante, es un lugar muy hermoso y deberíais visitarlo.
Si tuviera solamente uno oportunidad a visitar Grafton, visitaría durante la fiesta de Jacaranda. La es una fiesta muy grande y divertida, durante la primera semana en noviembre. Las Jacarandas son arboles morados y también, ¡muy maravilloso!
Nací en Dubbo, Australia. Dubbo está en un estado de Australia que se llama, New South Wales.
Dubbo es una ciudad con 40,000 personas pero es una ciudad muy tranquila.
La verdad es que no hay muchas cosas que hacer en Dubbo porque es una región agricultura. Hay un zoológico famoso que es muy grande y las animales tienen mucho espacio. Cerca de allí hay viñedos donde puede probar los vinos de la región.
Si te gustan las ciudades piqueñas y tranquilas, te recomiendo que vayas a Dubbo.

El ciudad donde nací se llama Townsville y es muy pequeña. Cuando era muy joven, mi familia y yo movimos a otra ciudad y entonces yo conozco casi nada sobre Townsville. Sólo sé que ellos tienen un equipo del Rugyi se llama ‘The Cowboys’ y la temperatura está calor y húmeda. De este modo, quiero hablar sobre la ciudad en la que vivo ahora. Se llama Brisbane y tiene quizás dos millón personas. Brisbane es un ciudad pero a veces, parece como un pueblo porque es un poco aburrido. Sin embargo, yo vivo en un barrio residencial muy bueno se llama West End. West End es muy interesante y la gente que vive aquí son muy internacionales. Lo tiene muchos restaurantes, y la comida en West End es el mejor de Brisbane. También tiene muchas tiendas de la ropa. En mi opinión, mi barrio es el mejor lugar en Brisbane. ¡Usted debería visitar!
Nacía en Canberra. Canberra es una buena ciudad, muy linda y muy limpia. Canberra es la capital de Australia y tiene muchos edificios importantes. Es un lugar que tiene acción mucho de política. Debería visitarlo porque hay muchas cosas hacer y ver. Hay parques nacionales y jardines nacionales de flores. Hay nuestra casa de parlamento nueva y vieja. Hay nuestro museo de arte nacional y biblioteca nacional. Me gusta Canberra mucho y pienso que personas debería visitarlo.

Yo nací en Warwick hace 24 años. Warwick está a dos horas al sur de Brisbane (la capital de Queensland). Es un pueblo muy pequeño pero bonito. Deberían visitarlo porque la gente y la vida allí es muy relajada. Además, en Octubre hay un rodeo, el más famoso en Australia (Así dicen, pero no creo). Sin embargo, está muy interesante a ver.

Mi pueblo natal se llama “changsha”. Changsha es la capital ciudad de “hunan” provincia en China. Viví en “changsha”para 15 años y es la ciudad donde yo tengo muchas memorias y también fui a escuelas y conocí mocho amigos.
Changsha es el ciudad famosa en china porque la ocupación de televisión y entretenimiento y las comidas. También Changsha tiene la historia para siete mil años y en la historia de China, Changsha fue la capital ciudad de China y la ciudad muy importante por la militar.
Las personas en Changsha son muy simpatica y fuerte y inteligente y mejor amigo. Chino simpre dice “no puede tener una ejército sin personas de Changsha”.

Aunque vivo ahora en Brisbane, Australia yo nací hace 20 años en un pueblo muy pequeño se llama en las Islas de Solomon. Viví en Kia para solamente un año pero lo he visitado muchas veces en mi vida adulta. El pueblo están situado en la costa entonces la gente vive una vida del mar. Cada día los adultos pescan o buscan conchas en los arrecifes. A veces puedo seguirlos y está muy divertido. Otras cosas muy divertidas que podemos hacer incluyen buceando con los peces y paseando en las selvas tropicales. El clima allí esta a veces muy calurosa como la de Brisbane. A mi me gusta mucho Kia porque todos de mis sobrinos y primos viven allí y cuando regreso tengo una tiempo muy bueno con ellos.
Aunque el pueblo es muy pequeño (solamente hay 2000 personas) la gente tiene personalidades grandes y pienso que estas personas son unas de las más simpáticas en todo el mundo. Creo que deberíais de visitarlo mi lugar de nacimiento porque podéis vivir una vida diferente, una vida lenta y muy relajada no como nuestras vidas atareadas aquí en Australia o España. (Pero una cosa ultima: no hay ningunas tiendas en Kia entonces si gustaría comprar cosas le aconsejo que no viaje allí :P )

Mi lugar de nacimiento es un pequeño país se llama Brunei Darussalam. Está en la isla de Borneo, cerca de Indonesia. Viví allí los primeros ocho años de mi vida. Como se situa muy muy cerca del ecuador, hace mucho calor y no tiene estaciones verdaderos – si no hace calor, llovia mucho y por muchos días, o a veces hay niebla. No recuerdo mucho del país, pero fuimos muchas veces a un parque de attraciones grandísimo se llama ‘Jerudong Park’, que fue el lugar más interesante (bueno, para una niña menos de 8 años…). No sé si Brunei tiene mucho más para interesar turistas, pero quizás me gustaría regresar al país algun día para ver si pudiera recordar más de mi infancia.

In Gran Canaria you can find a lot of things in a short piece of land, for instance, unforgettable beaches, great mountains, interesting theatres , a marvellous auditorium with a sea view and of course, a fantastic weather. I adore travelling abroad but I hope to spend the rest of my life in my excellent island. So, if you haven’t been here yet you should visit it early.
I was born in Las Palmas of Gran Canaria. Actually, it is not the city where I sleep, but my real life happens there. Any inhabitan of Canary Islands will tell you that those islands are the best place in the world. Perhaps they are, but you must know other places. Nowadays, my city, Telde, is more known because of the corruption rather than its beaches, country side, parks or monuments... yes it is a little pity. However, you could enjoy it, even more if you are looking for relax. there are the same things than in a capital but in a more relaxing way. moreover, Telde is in the middle of the island, so you can move to buy in Las Palmas or going to the beaches of the south easily. Visit the island, you will enjoy.

To start with, I have to say that I was born in Madrid but a week after my birth, I came to live to Gran Canaria and I am canary. The island where I live is an island full of mixtures; you can find whatever you want. You have the beach near and the country too, we have good weather all the year, it can rain but it is not cold. There are a lot of museums where you can see our history and also antique archeological elements. To finish with this post, there are a lot of festivals around the island that are very special for us and very rare for the rest of the countries.

Tipicamente, nací en Brisbane, lo mismo ciudad donde está la Universidad de Queensland. Brisbane es linda y es la tercera más grande ciudad en toda la Australia. Creo que deberías visitarlo porque hay muchos lugares cerca de Brisbane donde se puede divertirte. Además hay muchas playas bonitas un hora por el sud y un hora por el norte! Escribir este blog es un poco extrano para mi pues estan mas proximo donde nasci que yo y tal ves conoscen a esta ciudad mejor que yo. Nasci en Lisboa, capital de Portugal, pero no vivi ahi, solamente pasaba mis vacaciones cuando era nina. Sin embargo Lisboa se queda para mi la ciudad mas hermosa del mundo. Sus maravillosos panoramas llernos de monumentos, de jardins y la constante presencia del mar. Si le gustan emociones fuertes id a la puente sobre el Tejo, si preferis dulces, olvidad Viena y id a Lisboa, especialmente a Belen donde encontrareis los famosos pasteles. Lisboa abunda en historia y cultura y es un lugar ideal para mezclar saber y placer. Pero cuidado, hay mucho tiempo que no he ido ahi y tal ves lo que he dicho no son mas que recuerdos infantiles.

Yo nació en un pequeño pueblo industrial. Se llama Portland y está situado en el Estado de Victoria. Yo era un niño muy pequeño cuando yo vivía allí y no recuerdo mucho sobre el pueblo. Portland es un pueblo costero y no tiene mucho en términos de turismo y no tiene muchos atracciones. Portland no es un lugar que visitas durante tus vacaciones, pero un pueblo donde vives. Si tienes una familia, Portland es el lugar ideal para criar tus hijos porque es seguro y todo el mundo sabe todo el mundo. Hace dos anos visité Portland en un viaje de auto y el pueblo no había cambiado. Las tiendas eran todos mismos, y las familias que estaban allí cuando yo me mudé a Queensland seguían allí cuando visité. Portland es un pueblo soñolienta, y es el lugar perfecto para los domingos tranquilos.

Nací en Launceston, la segundo major ciudad en Tasmania, que es el estado más sudeño de Australia. Nos mudamos de Launceston cuando tenía seis años, entonces no recuerdo tan mucho sobre la ciudad. Pero, yo sé que es una de las ciudades más antiguas de Australia, y tiene más edificios del siglo XIX que cualquier otra ciudad de Australia, y era la primera ciudad de Australia que utilizó hidroelectricidad.
Recuerdo que vivíamos en una casa grande que tiene una visión de los montañas, particularmente de la Montaña de la Cuna.
Nací en Lexington, una lugar en el estado se llama Virginia en los Estados Unidos. Está localizado en la parte occidental del estado, rodeado de las montañas de Blue Ridge, en la costa este del país. No lo recuerdo muy bien por que yo viví allí por un rato después de que nací, mientras mi padre enseñó en la Instituto Militar de Virginia, donde él fue a universidad.
Aunque yo no viví en Lexington para mucho tiempo, yo sé que este lugar está llena de historia especialmente de la Guerra Civil Americana. Hay 58.000 acres del Bosque Nacional para hacer muchas cosas afuera. Si te gusta hacer cosas como acampando, pescando en los ríos y lagos, rastros que van de excursión, montando en bicicleta, o equitación, le gustaría este lugar. En el otoño, el follaje es magnífico. Las hojas en los árboles giran colores hermosos y ensucian la tierra con matices hermosos de la naranja y amarillo y rojo. ¡Incluso aunque yo no viviera allí mucho tiempo, puedo imaginar que esto es un lugar hermoso!
Yo nací en Hong Kong, que es parte de China. Hong Kong es una ciudad increíble que tiene muchas cosas que ofrecer para todos. Tiene uno de los mayores aeropuertos internacionales que tiene la gente de todo el mundo de la aviación en ya través de todos los días. Hong Kong es una ciudad llena de rascacielos y luces de la ciudad. Hay hermosas playas, mercados agradable para ir de compras y de las montañas para practicar senderismo.

Nací en Glenelg, suburbio de la playa de Adelaide, el capital de Australia Meridional. Es en la orilla de Holdfast Bay. Fue establecido en el año 1836, cuando Australia Meridional fue colonizado por los europeos. Antes de este tiempo, los llanos de adelaide fueron habitados por los Kaurna, un grupo de indígenas que fue matado por la viruela.
Glenelg es un es una destinación turística popular. Tiene una playa hermosa, un embarcadero, un pequeño parque de diversiones, varios hoteles y restaurantes y muchas tiendas. Es conectado con Adelaide por una tranvía. El fines de semana y días de fiesta se utiliza un vagón antiguo. Es un

No he vivido en Brisbane por mucho tiempo porque vivía en Trinidad para trece años pero otro aspecto que me gusta mucho es que la ciudad es mas como una gran aldea. Hay un buena vida noche y la playa es solamente un hora viaje.

Otra vez siento muchísimo por no hacer estas entradas a tiempo...
La verdad es que yo no crecí en mi lugar de nacimiento, entonces yo no sé nada de ese lugar. Pero el lugar donde crecí es muy bonita. Se llama Merimbula y está situada por la costa sureste del estado New South Wales. Es un pueblito que tiene no más de 8000 personas viviendo allí por más del año, pero en la temporada turística (el verano – diciembre a febrero), la población sube a 30 000 personas. Vienen por las playas bellísimas y el ambiente casual y relajada. Tengo unas fotos del pueblo aquí:
