English and I

If the English language were a person it would probably be a good friend of mine. Probably one of my best friends, as we do almost everything together. We meet in the bus, we sit together in class, we come across in the same places occasionally and finally English comes to see me at work every day. Recently I found out that English moved in right next to my house, so we are neighbors now. I can hear him on the balcony regularly.
We got to know each other when I was eleven years old. I considered him interesting and funny but very complicated. Then we were sent on holiday together, which marked our relationship for ever. I learned a lot about him and how accessible he was if I only dedicated him some time and effort. In the last two years of high school we got on so well together that I decided to be with him five hours weekly and not just two. We had a great time and I really began to care about him. He explained me many things, such as music, which had always been a mystery to me before.
After finishing high school I disregarded English because other friends became more demanding. But as real love always goes, we found the way back to each other and now we are more united than we were before. Although he is still full of secrets and surprises. Isn't this the basic essence for an enduring relationship?
